Beaune honors the memory of Kader Hassissi, founder and director of the Baroque Opera Festival

Last September, Beaune paid a final tribute to Kader Hassissi, the late founder and director of the Festival.

In honor of Kader’s life and work, a majestic 15-year-old Corsican alder tree was planted in the Bouzaize Park in Beaune.

This symbolic gesture, full of meaning, recalls Kader’s devotion to the preservation of ancient music and his talent for making it accessible to the general public.
The Beaune Baroque Opera Festival remains a grand celebration, perpetuating the precious legacy left by our passionate founder.
