If you’ve never heard them before, don’t miss out! With each new project, the singular voices of the Ensemble Irini take the listener into another dimension. This time, in addition to the monumental works of Guillaume Dufay, master of the Burgundian school, Lila Hajosi has chosen to set against the music of his Byzantine contemporaries Chrysaphes and Plousiadenos. It’s a striking evocation of the prolific 15th century of music that saw artists and thinkers on both sides of the Mediterranean attempt one last time to achieve a spiritual union between East and West.
