Florie Valiquette recital on July 21

The death of Jodie Devos a few days ago has shaken us all, as she was due to create an anthology of Handel arias with Stéphane Fuget and Les Épopées in Beaune on July 21. She will be on our minds throughout the festival.

In spite of everything, we decided to maintain this concert. We would like to thank Florie Valiquette, who has very kindly agreed to sing for us this evening, during which we will have a special thought for Jodie. The detailed program, including Handel arias, will be announced shortly.

Florie Valiquette is a brilliant young soprano from Quebec. She has been triumphant for several seasons at the Opéra-Comique, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Capitole de Toulouse, Opéra de Bordeaux and Festival d’Aix-en-Provence… Most recently, she stood out for her Constance in l’Enlèvement au Sérail at the Opéra royal de Versailles (dir. Gaëtan Jarry) and in Lully’s Armide at the Opéra-Comique (dir. Christophe Rousset).
